MUA luxe velvet

Tuesday, 29 March 2016

In one of my most recent posts I did a Boots/Superdrug haul, which you can find here. In this post I mentioned the MUA luxe velvet liquid lipsticks, I brought these in zest and Vivacity. These are both very vibrant colours which isnt something I'd usually go for but this year I'm going to try more bold colours.

Viva city
These are liquid lipsticks that dry matte, which means they can be a little drying so make sure you balm or moisturise your lips before using them and after you take them off. They last so long. As in one night I forgot to take off my make up and the only thing left in the morning was my vivacity velvet lipstick, I also found the quite difficult to get off which is a sure sign of durable lipstick. These are definitely something I'll repurchase!.

They also have a new range of these for the spring in some gorgeous colours which you can find here

The struggles of frizzy hair!

Thursday, 24 March 2016

Frizzy hair is a pain in the backside.Which I struggle with on a daily basis. Like you spend all that time trying to make your hair look nice and bang, outta nowhere frizz everywhere, Ugh. There are some times where it can be a heck of a lot worse eg; one drop of water touches it (why must you hate me weather). So the other day like i do most days i thought to myself I have to find a way to stop this frizz.

The first thing I did to get some away is go for a trim. Now I usually hate having my haircut as it means all my length gets destroyed. But I was determined to get my hair looking healthy again. As soon as it was cut and my layers were trimmed I saw a immediate change in my frizziness. Turns out I had a lot of dead ends (nightmare). However, Now most of those are gone my hair is looking so much healthier and I'm insistent on keeping it healthy and frizz free.

So, I've gone into my local boots and noticed the brand Frizz ease which I haven't used before. I picked up the Miraculous Recovery shampoo and conditioner, These are supposed to nourish and repair your dry damaged frizzy hair it contains an amino repair complex. The tubes are 250ml and there about £6 each which I think is quite affordable. I also picked up the 'smoothly does it, tame and shine spray' from V05 which is a brand that I absolutely LOVE. their products are so budget friendly yet such god quality. This is something you spray on dry hair before using heat appliances. It has a style tip of spraying it on your brush and brushing it through. It gives you a ultra glossy finish which sounds fab.

Hopefully, all these products keep my hair feeling and looking nice and healthy and keeps my damn frizz away!. I'll do a review on them and let you know.

Superdrug/Boots haul!

Thursday, 17 March 2016

I've been waiting for a while to just completely splurge out in Boots and Superdrug and I finally allowed myself the other day to do so. There were so many things I wanted but I tried to keep my spending down a little. I wanted to share with all you guys what I bought and if they're any good.

My first stop was Superdrug. There was a lot of great offers on which they usually do have, and they also had an eyebrow threading station which was a bonus where I had mine done for £6! which was such a bargain.

The first thing I found from Collection was the contour highlight & sculpt kit. This is one of the first contour kits I've bought and I'm loving it. The highlighters gorgeous and shimmery and isn't orangey at all which is great and the contour is a little shimmery but not too over the top. It works really well It's quite pigmented and it applies really great.

I also picked up the lasting perfection ultimate wear concealer in Fair 1. I heard of this from Zoella on a few videos and I decided to give it a try and I absolutely love it. It lasts a while its the right colour for my which Is something I usually find so difficult to find in drugstores and it really is great.

There's the Collection fast stroke eyeliner in black, Now for some reason, this seems to kind of irritate my skin so I've stopped using it, however, it's a great brush and The colour is perfect.

There's the Lasting colour lipstick which I found two gorgeous shades I went for the china rose which is a gorgeous pink and the cafe au lait which is a beautiful nude shade. they both last a few hours and I'll definitely repurchase these.

Now this is one that I haven't really heard of until recently. There a very affordable brand from boots and they do a lot of great quality products.

I picked up the Brows that kit, This has a crayon to fill in any sparse areas, a wax to define the brow a powder to fill in and set the brow and a gorgeous highlighter for your brow bone. It came with a mirror which makes it very handy on the go and a tips card to help you with applying it as well as an application brush. It was really budget friendly and very good quality.
The all out pout in woo me which has 6 gorgeous shades a 'peach shimmer' a 'knockout red' a 'glossy grape' a 'cool claret' a 'candied coral and a metallic gold I haven't actually used this yet but the shades look perfection and I can't wait to try them out. This also comes with a tip card and an application brush and a mirror. This again was very budget friendly.

I also picked up the make your mark eyeliner. This is a felt eyeliner as I find them easier to use than the brush eyeliners. I haven't used this one yet.

The True match foundation. The only foundation I have ever found in a drugstore to absolutely match my skin tone I bought this in rose Ivory this is really blendable and great quality and it looks really natural.

MUA is a very affordable brand from Superdrug I haven't brought many lip products from here before so I brought a couple to give them a try, There's the MUA LUXE velvet in Zest and Vivacity these are both very vibrant colours. However I have started to experiment with colours and I think  they're gorgeous. I also brought a lip crayon in Pink me up. This is a lovely shade.

I am a huge lover or Rimmel. It's usually my go-to drugstore brand. It's affordable and the products are great.

The first thing I picked up was the Stay matte powder, I've used this for a while and I love it I find it keeps everything in place for quite a few hours and it doesn't look too cakey, I use transparent as I'm quite pale and this usually works well for me.

I also picked up the lasting finish colour rush in '220 rumour has it' This is a gorgeous kind of reddish pink shade I haven't used it yet but it's supposed to be a balm so that'll be great for when my lips are dry.

I lastly picked up the lasting finish soft colour blush in 050 live pink. I love the colour of this is quite pigmented and its nice and shimmery. Which is something i love.

February Favourites!.

Thursday, 3 March 2016

I love this part of the month where I get to share all my favourites I'm a tad late on this one but I have some great products to share.

Rimmels kate wine 107 Lipstick
Im a bit late on this bandwagon but this lipstick is amazing. It's a red berry tone which I feel suits most people, dream!. Its one of my favourite lipsticks and it definitely deserves to be top of my favourites. It's great on a budget only about £6, Which is great for something of this quality.

Rimmel wake me up mascara

I love this! It gives my lashes volume and it's just great it also contains vitamins and cucumber. I'm a big Rimmel fan as you've possibly gathered. I love the wand on this its clump free which is fab and I feel as though it makes my lashes look a lot bigger. It's brilliant.

Aveeno daily moisturiser

This is great  for my dry skin. Although, I'm not too keen on the smell the product itself is brilliant. My skins felt smoother and more hydrated and soothed my dry skin since using this and I love it.

Simple kind to skin soothing facial toner

This is the first toner I have ever used. I feel as though this has helped to hydrate my skin and reduce my redness. I think this is brilliant. I use this every day and I absolutely love it.

Garnier skin naturals pure active cleansing water

I love this so much! I personally think this is better than the simple cleansing water which I used to use as it helps to balance my oiliness. It takes all my makeup off easily and has helped to reduce my spots  dream.

These are all my favourites for February. What are your favourites from this month?.
