My 2016 reflection.

Thursday, 29 December 2016
If you kept an eye out over December on my blog I did complete my first year of Blogmas wooh! I absolutely loved it, I cant wait for next year already (slow down Charlie). It does feel slightly strange not posting everyday and going back to weekly blogging perhaps I'll start posting twice a week?. New post dates from next week will be Monday and Thursday. If you'd like to be the first to see posts, you can simply follow me on bloglovin or subscribe to my blog using the sidebar.

2016 has been a busy year for many reasons and It was also one of the craziest years of my life, there was a lot of ups and a couple of downs which I struggled a lot with, but thanks to my wonderful boyfriend and supportive family and friends I got through very well.

A lot of big things happened this year, I moved away from home which was one of the craziest things I have ever done, but the best for myself. It's not like I only moved down hr road like I moved to Cornwall from the midlands which sounds insane now I say it but I've never been more relaxed, calm and happy in my life. Walking on the beach is the perfect mental detox fyi.

I also got my first home AHH. I feel so, so grown up. As I moved here with my boyfriend it was the main goal, it wasn't easy to find somewhere to rent because of our age (19) most estate agents were quite weary because they all essentially stereo typed us. We found a one bed flat with a landlord willing to 'take the risk' which in some areas and rooms is legit bigger than some houses and although there has been a couple of problems with the flat we're making it our home. Although we haven't really had the spare money to add homely touches it is for sure my goal for 2017 to make my home as snug as possible, We are thinking of getting a mortgage and buying a place but I don't think it'll be this one.

I did have a couple of downs such as my anxiety being super overwhelming at times mainly as my boyfriend works weekends and I'm on my own it did start getting very overwhelming and I did have a couple of panic attacks and that did get me quite down thinking I couldn't be alone at all and having to sit waiting for my boyfriend to finish work at 3am (very, very tiring btw). However, I have started getting used to being alone, it is still scary bat times don't get me wrong but I think when we've put our own little touch on the house and made it a nice cosy home it'll be easier.

I've had a lot of new experiences this year such visiting Torquay which is stunning if anyone is thinking of going there you definitely should. I got my first kitten, pebbles who is absolutely adorable and I've discovered a whole new little wonderland, It was a year of blogging for me which went in November 2016. I've literally loved blogging so much. The blogging community is so friendly, I've loved learning more about photography and discovering lots of new products and brands. I also worked with my first brand which was a super proud moment for me, you can see that post HERE. My love for make up and baking grew and as has the love for myself, I'm more confident and comftable with myself now than I've ever been.

Overall this year has been one of the best years of my life, I wonder what 2017 has in store?. Happy new year!.

  3. Sounds like an amazing year! Torquay is a beautiful place, the partners grandparents live in Paignton. I hope your 2017 is just as amazing if not more than 2016.
