Rainy days.

Thursday, 12 January 2017
As I'm writing this I'm snug on my sofa with a cup of tea which tastes like crap; because I'm ill. I have a bluddy cold I was so happy with my immune system this winter I hadn't had any form of cold until now. As you may know I was supposed to be filming a what I got for Christmas for my first YouTube video today.. but I sound like I've chewed a wasp so as soon as I'm better I'll be filming that, I did start filming when I wasn't as bunged up but for some reason I have lost clips from that and it doesn't make much sense.

The sky is super grey so even if I did film it would be so dull the rain has been hitting the ground all morning and although I wouldn't like to go out in that it's giving me seriously cosy winter vibes. Even though the skies are grey my beautiful white and yellow flowers on the mantle piece that my boyfriend surprised me with are picking my spirits up.  All of our Christmas decorations are down and I'm having a little snoop on TK Maxx and other shops for little homey touches to make my little flat mine because I don't feel as if I have had a chance to do that yet.

Here are some ideas on what you can do on a grey, dull and rainy day-

  1. Have a spring clean. Christmas is over now and you possibly have lots of gifts you need to sort through, take out of the packaging as well as lots of other things you may have been putting off (I know I have). Take the rainy day as an opportunity for a little spring clean!.
  2. Relax. Have some you time, grab a blanket find a nice film to watch and just chill for a little, top tip; a nice hot chocolate makes this one amazing!.
  3. Pamper yourself. Gather all your favourite products, run yourself a nice hot bath chuck in a lush bath bomb perhaps the experimenter, nice and bright to forget the grey sky. pop on some YouTube or grab a magazine and just relax.
  4. Spend some time with your loved ones. I know that family time isn't appealing to everyone but a rainy day Is a great time to grab out monopoly (maybe not if your family is a but competitive) or another board game and spend some time together.

I'm off to make myself a nice pick me up salad and jump In the shower and have a nice pamper to hopefully rid myself of this crappy cold!. What do you like to do on a rainy day?.

  1. There is nothing that makes me want to write more than a cup of coffee or tea and a view of the rain. Hope you feel better soon! x
