5 self care tips you NEED in your life...

Thursday, 2 February 2017
This week I've decided I'm going to give you some self love tips!. Recently I've not been feeling the self love, I'm not 1o0% why it is I kind of just feel like I'm in a bit of a runt, a bit stuck in the same routine of waking up too late, sitting about all day and just doing nothing. I really want to get back too being more motivated and more happy so here's my kick up the butt to get it done and here are the realistic tips I'll be using.

Also, just to let you know I was thinking of doing my monthly favourites this week but guess what?. I finally filmed my first video on YouTube and that's where my monthly favourites are going to be from now on along with lots of other exciting videos!. I would love it if you could come check my channel out and subscribe to keep up to date with videos but anyway on with the post!.

1- Hydration and diet

I'm going to be the first to admit that I drink way to much tea and no where near enough water. Do I know how bad caffeine is for me?, Yes but it's just my comfort drink I really don't like water but I've been pushing myself to drink more and instead of buying my usual fizzy drinks I've been buying multipacks of water which is not only benefiting my health but my bank balance (way hey!). Also whilst we're on this topic - your diet!; Do you eat enough?, too much?, are you eating healthy or unhealthy? I'm not saying go on a diet but finding that perfect balance will give you the right amount of energy and not leave you feeling tired all the time.
-Note to self, stop eating so many Doritos all the time they might be nice but your body is not thanking you.

2-Hygiene

A basic thing that can easily be over looked things such as "I'll shower tomorrow" because you're to busy or forgetting to take make up at night and although pj days are nice staying in your PJ's for too long isn't very hygienic. I'm going to make sure I am doing these things every day because once I have had a nice long shower and woke up without panda eyes I always feel better about myself and that gives me a nice fresh perspective.

3- Take time just for YOU

I don't do this anywhere near enough and I'm not to sure why. A little walk to clear your head, buy yourself flowers, have a pamper evening. Just take some time out for yourself. This could also include going to bed early.
-Note to self, start going to bed earlier and wake up at a decent time.

4- socialise more

This one is going to be a challenge for me, I wont lie. Since moving out of home and moving all the way down to the other end of the country I have like 0 friends near me. I have my friends from back home and we talk everyday but It's not like I can go out with them or anything. I also have cripplingly bad social anxiety so making friends is just out of the equation if I'm honest. However, I'm starting to speak to lots of lovely people from the blogging community who are all so lovely which is amazing!.

5 - Take the pressure of yourself

Juggling work, deadlines, life in general and still trying to take care of yourself is flipping hard. There's so much pressure on people now days to have the perfect appearance and life but it's okay to just be yourself. If you can't afford to buy something just because all your friends are DON'T, If you didn't do the housework today or do your make up or make an effort THAT IS OKAY. Cut yourself some slack because I can bet you now that you're trying your best and that's all that matters.

Have you got any self care tips?

  3. Sometimes just allowing yourself to feel a bit crap is nice. You wallow for a bit, have a good cry, then you start feeling a bit better!! Well it works for me anyway :D x
